How Three Friends Turned an Old Nepali House into a Modern Holiday Home in Just 3 Months.

Who would have thought that a simple “hello” in high school would one day turn into a lifelong bond between three young dreamers? From shared classroom benches to endless conversations about life, purpose, and possibility, we weren’t just growing up; we were unknowingly planting the seeds of something greater. Over time, the bond only grew stronger. And with it, so did the desire to create something of our own, something meaningful.

Today, that shared vision has taken shape as *Tapas Stays – Your Holiday Home.*

The Seed of a Dream

We were just three friends, living our lives behind computer screens: writing code, debugging issues, and developing applications. That was our routine. But somewhere deep inside, we craved something different, something we could build and touch, something more personal and real.

And then, during one of our regular hangouts, one of us casually shared an idea that sparked something in all of us: “What if we build a holiday home together?” It sounded crazy at first, but it felt right. That one sentence sparked a fire, and we knew this was the beginning of something special.

Instead of brushing it off as “just another idea,” we leaned into it. That night, something shifted. That small thought became a goal. And soon, a mission.

Chasing Possibility, Not Perfection

We didn’t have perfect plans. We didn’t have fancy investors or background knowledge. But we had something more powerful: belief. Belief in our friendship. Belief in our ability to figure it out. Belief that we could turn this idea into something real.

Excited and determined, we began house-hunting in peaceful village areas, searching for the perfect spot to bring our vision of a cozy holiday farmhouse to life. Finding the right place was a challenge in itself. We explored many properties, but none felt like "the one."

Then, finally, we found it: a worn-down, old house that had been forgotten by time. But where others saw ruins, we saw home. We saw dreams waiting to be rebuilt.

Even though it needed a complete renovation, we were ready. With no background in construction or design, we dived into the unknown, consulting interior designers, talking to architects, and coordinating plumbers and electricians. The journey had begun with a mix of nervousness and thrill.

The Work Behind the Walls

Shifting from tech to hospitality was not a small move. But every step taught us something new, about patience, people, purpose, and passion.

The house needed everything, from plumbing to plaster, from electricity to love. So, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. We reached out to designers, carpenters, electricians, painters, and local workers. Each day brought new challenges, delays, decisions, doubts, but also small wins that kept us going.

We didn’t always know what we were doing, but we were willing to learn. We spent hours choosing the right lights, curtains, beds, and cushions, not just to make it look beautiful, but to make every guest feel at home.

We met wonderful people along the way, some who worked with us, others who simply believed in us. Their support reminded us that we weren’t alone. That belief kept us going on the hardest days.

The Struggle Behind the Smile

For three intense months, we poured ourselves into this project, working long days and sleepless nights. We faced delays, doubts, and moments where everything felt overwhelming.

The day we completed everything and spent our first night at Tapas Stays, it was surreal, it was worth it. Lying in a space we had created with our own hands, it wasn’t just a house anymore. It was the result of belief, effort, and unity. It was proof that taking risks, even with little experience, can lead to something magical. A wave of pride, peace, and purpose washed over us. It was more than a house, it was a dream, which is now real.

What Tapas Stays Represents

Today, Tapas Stays is a peaceful escape for guests, but for us, it’s a symbol of growth. A reminder that dreams don’t need perfect timing or permission. They just need action.

We’ve learned that success doesn’t come only from having all the answers; it comes from taking the first step. It comes from falling, learning, trying again, and not giving up. And when you do it with people who believe in you, anything becomes possible

A Message to Dreamers

If you're sitting on an idea, waiting for things to align, don’t wait too long. There’s no such thing as the perfect moment. Start with what you have. Start scared, but start anyway.

Because sometimes, the best journeys begin with a random idea, shared between friends. Sometimes, they begin with nothing more than faith, a little courage, and the willingness to build something from the ground up.

*Tapas Stays isn’t just a holiday home. It’s a dream made real and a message to everyone: If we can do it, so can you.*
